The WPVH Lifetime Commitment

We believe in the critical importance of training for your pet and we believe in our training. Upon completing an Lifetime Commitment Course at WPVH’s Training Center you will have the tools and knowledge necessary to maintain your dog’s newly acquired skills for the duration of your life together.
 
Continued work and practice is required to maintain the skills your dog will learn in our program. Should you find that in six months, a year, or even five years, your dog regresses and the methods we have taught you to maintain the learned skills are not working to your 100% satisfaction, we will offer free of charge the training necessary to return your dog to their post-training skill level.

In addition to the comfort and security of the WPVH Lifetime Commitment, you will also receive with the pruchase of a LCC course:

  • 30-minute private lessons at time of discharge 
  • FREE Agility, Play and Socialization whenever boarding at Winter Park Veterinary Hospital
  • A discount on all new classes offered at our center
  • Free attendance to our monthly practice class
  • All treats and food while training.

Basic Training – This three-week course offers a solid foundation for a fulfilling life-long relationship with your dog. Upon completion, your dog will sit, down, stay, place, heel, sit automatically during heeling when handler stops moving, and come when called in close quarters. Our trainers will also work to eliminate other problem behaviors such as jumping-up and mouthing, and practice greeting people in a controlled, polite manner.

Basic Training and Off Leash Come Command– Off Leash skills require an extra week of training and give your dog more practice to come when called should your restraint device fail or your dog become loose in an uncontrolled environment.

Advanced Training– This three-week advanced course offers many of the same training skills as the Basic Course but with increased mastery, and provides significant off-leash work. We safely and humanely employ an E-collar for your dog’s safety when training out in the public. This allows for freedom and security in a number of environments. Upon completion of our Advanced Course, your dog will be increasingly comfortable on and off leash in multiple environments and will have strengthened their obedience and other skills.

Basic and Advanced Training – This six-week course combines Basic with Advanced for a complete training package.
