Our Trainers: Ellen Guerrero and Mike Mahaleris
Ellen has been in the veterinary field for over 5 years. She received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of South Florida, which supports her strong interest and activities related to animal behavior and training. She has spent many years working with different rescue groups in the Central Florida area and is a certified evaluator for the American Kennel Club - Canine Good Citizen Program.
Mike has had a passion for dogs and dog training ever since he was a boy. He has been training dogs for over 10 years. Mike gained valuable experience working with Wallace K-9 Training Center - the group that helped pioneer the training of drug sniffing dogs for the Canadian Army. He attended Tarheel Canine Training Center in North Carolina where he learned to training dogs in detection, trailing and obedience. This afforded him the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the best dog trainers in the world. He has personally trained police dogs, civilian dogs, and many family dogs.
